May 19, 2012 — “The Song that fits in every musicians ability.”

“WHAT I HAVE DONE?!”
20 seconds of pause in my mind. That will be the 2nd time “he” has technically corrected me on that calm manner. I dunno what’s wrong but it really sounded like it was from the 50’s. Everything’s so dry. What’s wrong?
As I, declaring, praying silently, casting whatever spirit it is that’s making the music so awful and it really distracts everything, they’re were looking at me as if I was the one who’s not technically ready for worship. And I was like: “Lord, what’s happening? Sorry if I made you sad about this but I will continue to worship you no matter what. You know my skill, you know my ability, whatever the sound will be, this comes deep within me, deep within my heart, this is all for your Glory.”
The question goes in my mind after: Why make things so technical?
I know there’s a quote on Purpose Driven Life that says: “Passion leads to Perfection.” — not “Technicality leads to Perfection.” But you’re blessed if you have both for music. As the story goes, I remembered our lesson yesterday about “Theology of Worship” . It says: “Worship Team - Reminders: 1. The Song must fit to the singer/worshiper” . So there should also be a song that fits every ability of the musicians/instrumentalists? Not just for the worship leader.
Yes. I’m passionate about worshiping the Lord. I’m passionate about the skill/ability that I have. I’m practicing, I’m doing my devotionals, got our regular meetings with Victory Groups, but that’s not the problem why some songs sounded like it’s dry. (it’s just for the Practice that it sounded like it it’s dry but thanks for the love of God that everything has gone smoothly in the real youth service)
Maybe It’s because of the specific genre that i’m into that I can’t technically drum (for rock) it really worries me a lot when I have to make it louder though all the drum heads has it’s mic. Joemmer and I are different, as well as the other drummers of the church. I’m still hoping that every music team had notice our differences. We are all passionate — It’s just the song.

“EPIC”

To the highest level na talaga!  Peyborit ko yung Team namin! ♪ ♫ Luntiaaaan! Makinang! Kabibe! Kabibe! Kabibe! Kabibe!

But I know that hindi naman sa dami ng campers tumitingin si Lord though we only have few participants dahil hindi nakasama ang ibang Youth. Ang sabi nga sa Matthew 18:20 “For where two or three come together in my name, there am I with them.” And this is the EPIC first time Youth Camp of Victory Muntinlupa. And it’s a huge success! By the grace of God! ♥

Lord, I just wanna say ‘I love you’. So grateful about the things you’ve done in my life. Your love is Beautiful and truly Amazing! I just can’t contain it! Lord, more of you in my life! That I may continue this Wonderful Journey of Knowing You until the time comes. Increase my faith and trust in you. That I will always have this “kilig feeling” every time I read your words. Thank you Lord. Glory and Honor belongs to you. ♥

PINASarap: Taho (soybean custard) ver.2

A filipino staple comfort food, peddled in two large Aluminum Buckets and a long narrow wooden plank, where these two buckets hang on each end. The vendors herald “TAHO!” while walking at a considerable pace along the sidewalk. Hopeful customers also scream “TAHO!” to get the roaming vendor’s attention. The vendor then drops his load while the customer watches. The vendor gets a cup (the customer either picks a small 5 peso cup or a larger 10 peso (some even bring their own containers), scoops up the taho in one special bucket and then adds the sago and arnibal. It is enjoyed warm and is eaten with a spoon.

A Signature Filipino Sweet.
